Mepitel® with Safetac® - Gentle Protection, Enhanced Healing

Mepitel® is a gentle, transparent, two-sided wound contact layer featuring Safetac® - the original less-pain contact layer with silicone adhesion. Designed to mould softly to the skin without sticking to the moist wound bed, Mepitel® can be removed easily without causing skin damage or patient discomfort. This helps minimize pain during dressing changes and supports undisturbed healing.

Safetac® technology protects new tissue and intact skin while sealing the wound margins to prevent maceration and reduce the risk of leakage. The perforated design allows exudate to pass through to a secondary absorbent dressing while enabling topical treatments to be delivered without removing the contact layer. Mepitel® maintains its integrity over time and can remain in place for up to 14 days, allowing for secondary dressing changes without disturbing healing tissue.

Clinically proven to heal scalds faster and with less pain and cost compared to silver sulfadiazine, Mepitel® does not leave residue and provides excellent visibility to assess wound progress without removal. Suitable for both acute and chronic wounds, it minimizes trauma and maximizes healing efficiency.
